The bottom line comprises of net interest income from lending activity, mainly comprising of issuing mortgages and credit cards to consumers. Additional retail services include current accounts, wealth management, property insurance, and pension solutions.

The rest of the earnings originates from corporate-facing activities such as issuing business loans, transaction banking, and a myriad of other corporate banking services.

The management team has announced a strategy shift to purchase 50,000 homes within Britain by 2030. The goal is to become the UK's largest private landlord, generating income through rent with at least 10,000 properties added to its portfolio by 2025.
