Our top 0% APR purchase card picks at a glance:

Post Office Platinum Card

Good for: Long 0% interest on purchases and travel

Our Rating:

StarStarStarStarStar

5.0 stars

Features
  • 0% interest on purchases made over the first 28 months
  • 0% interest on balance transfers for the first 18 months (but a 2.89% fee applies)
  • No fee travel money from the Post Office

Our Bottom Line

There’s a lot to like with the Post Office Platinum Card. The 28 months of 0% APR that you get on purchases is a nice, long duration. Plus you get the option of 0% for 18 months on balance transfers (though you will have to cough up a 2.89% fee for that). This is also a great card for travelers, since you don’t pay fees on purchases made overseas and can buy Post Office Travel Money with no fee.

Sainsbury’s Dual Offer Credit Card

Good for: Long 0% interest on purchases and rewards

Our Rating:

StarStarStarStarStar

5.0 stars

Features
  • 0% interest on purchases made over the first 29 months
  • 0% interest on balance transfers for 29 months (but a 3% fee applies)
  • Up to 7,500 bonus Nectar points over first 2 months

Our Bottom Line

The Sainsbury’s Dual Offer Credit Card aims to give you the best of both worlds — cardholders get a long 29 months with 0% interest on both purchases and balance transfers. Balance transfers are subject to a 3% fee, so those looking primarily for a balance-transfer offer may prefer to find a card without that fee. As with other Sainsbury’s cards, cardholders collect Nectar points on spending at Sainsbury’s and elsewhere. Over the first two months, shopping at Sainsbury’s could net users up to 7,500 bonus points, which is worth £37.50.

Barclaycard Platinum 27 Month 0% Interest Purchase Card

Good for: Long 0% interest on purchases

Our Rating:

StarStarStarStarStar

4.8 stars

  • 0% interest on purchases made over the first 27 months
  • 0% interest on balance transfers for 27 months (but a 1.99% fee applies)

Our Bottom Line

The barclaycard Platinum 27 Month Card combines two solid offers. Cardholders get 27 months of 0% interest on purchases, plus 27 months of 0% interest on balance transfers. There is a 1.99% fee on balance transfers, so those looking primarily for a balance-transfer card may want to look for a card that offers fee-free transfers. The addition of ongoing access to your Experian credit score is a nice perk.

Tesco Bank Purchases Credit Card

Good for: Long 0% interest on purchases and rewards

Our Rating:

StarStarStarStarEmpty Star

4.5 stars

Features
  • 0% interest on purchases made over the first 26 months
  • 0% interest on balance transfers for the first 3 months (but a 2.9% fee applies)
  • 1 Clubcard point per £4 spent in Tesco and for every £8 spent elsewhere

Our Bottom Line

Tesco Bank’s Purchases Card is a solid choice if you’re looking for a long period for 0% interest on your spending, as 26 months stacks up well with competitors. The card gets even better if you’re a Tesco customer, since it’ll help you rack up Tesco points. You’ll get 1 Clubcard point for every £4 you spend at Tesco and 1 Clubcard point for every £8 that you spend elsewhere. There is a balance transfer option with this card, but it’s only three months and carries a fee on the balances you transfer. So it’s a nice bonus, but if you’re looking specifically for balance transfers, there are better cards for that.

HSBC Dual Credit Card

Good for: Long 0% interest on purchases

Our Rating:

StarStarStarStarEmpty Star

4.3 stars

Features
  • 0% interest on purchases made over the first 26 months
  • 0% interest on balance transfers for the first 26 months (but a 2.89% fee applies)
  • £25 cash back when you spend £300 within first 60 days (expires 9. November)

Our Bottom Line

HSBC’s Dual Credit Card is a very solid option for those looking for a nice, long 0% purchase offer. The 26 months is a bit shorter than some competitors, but that’s still gives you a long 0% period. The balance transfer period on the card comes with a 2.89% fee, which isn’t ideal, but you get 26 months of 0% interest there too. The £25 pound offer for £300 spending (available until 9. November) is a nice cherry on top. Note that the representative APR after the 0% period is notably higher than other top cards.
