Greatland Gold is a UK-based precious metals exploration company and is a constituent of the FTSE AIM index. It is primarily engaged in the mining exploration and development of gold, copper, and nickel in certain parts of Australia. Its operations are specifically focused on Tasmania and Western Australia. Its flagship mine is the Havieron deposit, which contains both gold and copper. It is a joint venture with Newcrest Mining, a fellow Australia-based gold-mining business. This mine contains 3.4 million ounces of gold. The firm currently operates six projects, including Havieron, Panorama, Ernest Giles, Bromus, Warrentinna and Firetower. Moving forward, it plans to explore three other sites, Juri, Scallywag, and Rudall and Canning. These sites will all be centred on the Paterson region in Western Australia.
