J Sainsbury plc Checks Out Reality

Ten years of growth in profits has come to a halt at Britain’s sometime number two supermarket. Sales are holding up but only because Sainsbury’s (LSE: SBRY) is adding spaces and cutting prices to maintain market share. Profits have slumped, and its property portfolio isn’t worth as much as wethought, either.
