An update about your investing service
As you will be aware, Motley Fool Share Dealing is currently provided by interactive investor. We have been working together successfully to provide our investors with a high quality, good value DIY investing platform. However, interactive investor has recently taken the decision to refocus on its own-branded services.
The Motley Fool is therefore ending its arrangement with interactive investor in December. However, when the arrangement ends your investing service will continue to be operated by interactive investor, under its own brand and on its new, improved platform which will offer you an improved service and investing experience.
What does this mean for you now?
There is no change to your service today. You can continue to trade as normal.
Your investments remain safe
The security of your assets won’t be affected by the change in investing platform and there will be no disruption to your trading services.
When can you expect more detailed information?
By early November
You will have received full information about the improved services you’ll receive under the interactive investor name – including Terms and Rates.
By early December
You’ll receive details confirming the arrangement to move your account to the new interactive investor platform, and information to help you get set up.
Don’t worry about moving to a new platform – you’ll keep your current username, all you will need to do is validate your personal details for the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) regulatory requirements and confirm or choose a new password.
Everything else will be taken care of for you.
Your account will move to your new service with interactive investor and you’ll benefit from a host of improved and additional features.
New features to look forward to include:
- Simple, fair and competitive pricing – with commission credits that can be used for up to a year rather than for just the next quarter.
- Lower cost regular investment and dividend reinvestment service
- Access to trade directly on international exchanges
- The ability to hold and settle in up to 9 foreign currencies
