Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust Plc is a low-cost investment trust based in the United Kingdom. The management team are focused on finding high-growth opportunities on a global basis, as well as providing a steady stream of dividends. In exchange for its services, the trust charges a 0.32% annualised management fee.

Its portfolio contains numerous publicly traded stocks as well as fixed income and convertible securities. However, the firm also invests within the private sector, enabling its shareholders to access a market typically reserved for only financial institutions.

The group is managed by Baillie Gifford, an independent investment management firm founded in 1908. In 2022 it's top ten holdings represent 42.7% of the overall portfolio. These positions include, Moderna, ASML Holdings, Tesla, Tencent Holdings, Illumina, Meituan, NIO, Alibaba Group, Kering, and Amazon.
