Red Nose Day 2003
By Bruce Jackson (TMFGoogly)
March 5, 2003
Comic Relief's stated commitment is to help end poverty and social injustice. Set up by the comedy community 18 years ago, Comic Relief uses comedy and laughter to highlight problems that affect the lives of many people across the globe. Since 1985 Comic Relief has raised more than £250m from 8 Red Nose Days.
The Motley Fool is proud to support Red Nose Day 2003. As a company, we will be encouraging people to donate to this good cause, while also having some fun ourselves. The Motley Fool will also be donating money to Comic Relief.
Here's What The Motley Fool Is Doing For Red Nose Day 2003
- We'll be turning our front page red on March 14th, official Red Nose Day. We'll also be promoting the Red Nose Day website, encouraging people to donate to this excellent cause.
- Starting Monday March 10th, the Motley Fool's Lunchtime e-mail will be the place to be! Over the 5 working days leading up to Red Nose Day on Friday March 14th, one article listed in each e-mail will have a cryptic clue buried within it. Once you've accumulated all 5 clues, simply reply to Friday's e-mail with the answer. For every correct answer, we'll donate 10p to Comic Relief. Sign up to Fool's FREE Lunchtime email here and join in the fun.
- On Thursday March 13th, we will send out 5,000 special red Weekly Digest emails. The first 50 people to acknowledge receipt of the email will receive a FREE Fool book, t-shirt or cap. On top of that, for every single red Weekly Digest acknowledgment we receive, the Motley Fool will donate 10p to Comic Relief. Sign up to Fool's FREE Weekly Digest email here.
- For the 5 days of the Motley Fool's Red Nose Week - Monday 10th March to Friday 14th March - the Motley Fool will donate £5 for every index tracking product taken out with our partner Legal & General. Click here to read more.
