What Fools said about our last seminar
Here are some more comments posted on the boards during our last seminar How to be a Foolish Investor, which ran in summer. We're sure you'll enjoy our latest seminar, Create Your Own Retirement Plan, just as much.
dumple: I also would like to thank you for other posts to me that you have sent during the seminar. It must have made the most enormous amount of work for you all, and I hope you have found it worthwhile. Clearly most of the Class 2000 has appreciated the course and the efforts made by the TMF to help us all.
hs0ggi: I have found this seminar at times very challenging but equally rewarding. I have learnt so much in such a very short time and I am really looking forward to applying my new found knowledge to potential investments. I would like to say a very big thankyou to everyone who has contributed, especially TMF staff who seem to have been here at all hours of the day. The last three weeks have been so much fun.
fooltel: Just to let you know how much I have enjoyed the seminar and that I feel that I have learned a lot. The structure of the course will enable me to go over some of the topics again and I assume you will be leaving the Boards up and running for a while?
JillyBilly: I hate to be that horrid little goody goody type, but I really think that TMF Alan and Crew deserve Three Cheers for an excellent seminar.
Admittedly there were a few technical hiccups, and it was a little helter skelter with overload on one board, but it was definitely all worth it. So Hip Hip!!
breezy69: I'd just like to say thanks to TMF for the lessons so far. As with all Foolish content, it is simple (so simple I'm wondering yet again why I haven't gotten into this earlier), funny and informative. Nice one!
And all the card board messages are great too. I particularly like the stuff on the way operations like Tesco really work the short-term money market. Fancy me paying for and eating and disposing of my tin of baked beans before Tescos even pays their supplier!
Tisonlyme: Excellent introduction into the more serious side of investment (but not too serious).
DoctorJey: Thank you for an excellent Seminar. My style has been to follow the sheep tempered by a a gut feeling regarding the company under consideration. I now know better.
1forall: Many thanks for a very informative and enjoyable seminar. I now realise that my stock picking strategy thus far has been akin to pinning the tail on a donkey whilst blindfolded.
geoffs2: Thanks for an entertaining and informative seminar
Seasalt: I have learnt an awful lot and feel a bit more confident about venturing into investment.
Godsmark: It's given me a jump start to learn more and forced me to confront those accounts. I feel more confident to check them out and they actually look more interesting!!
Purplepickle: Great course, can't believe it's over so quickly. I've learned a lot and hope to start putting it into practice asap
Buston: Seminar has been a great success and disciplined me into thinking for a change. Thanks to all concerned.
davelewis66: We have just completed an 11-part seminar on Foolish Investing.
The reason I took part was to learn the fundamentals of investing and understand why a company's share price rises. I have learnt that there are several reasons why, but in the long term it is because the company is producing excellent earnings growth and high margins.
