PRESS RELEASE
Even Bigger Money Makeover For Women

July 7, 2003

The Motley Fool (www.fool.co.uk) is holding its biggest money makeover for women in October, after the huge success of its first two earlier this year.

Women raced to get a place on the workshops held in May and June, with both sold out in a matter of days. Feedback has been excellent, with comments like "Many thanks again for an excellent workshop....Good motivating stuff and brilliantly delivered" and "...brilliant...the information has been outstanding."

The October workshop is already partly full because so many women of all ages know how much they need to get their finances in order. The workshop, called Taking Control of Your Money, will be given by financial expert and stand-up comedian (yes really!) Jasmine Birtles and Motley Fool writer Jane Mack, who are co-authors of 'A Girl's Best Friend Is Her Money'. It will cost £25 and will include a free copy of the book (worth £12.99) and a glass of wine.

Any woman who wonders where her money goes every month should attend the evening. If you find yourself regularly in debt, even though you don't seem to spend much, the workshop is definitely for you. If you want to get on top of your money but find it all too boring and confusing to bear...come along and get all the information you need in a fun and easy-to-digest format.

"Women are actually very good at dealing with their money once they get the idea," says Jasmine Birtles, "it's just that we've had so many centuries of being told not to worry 'our pretty little heads' about it that we have a lot of catching up to do. Once women do understand money and investing, though, they actually do better than men."

Any woman who attends this workshop will find out how to:

  • Take control of her finances and stop them controlling her.
  • Learn to get out of debt painlessly and stay out of debt
  • Become wealthy without trying too hard
  • Have a retirement full of cruises and toy boys instead of cat food and day-centres
