Forgot to mention - my kennel calculation includes buy costs of $20 per $1000, but not sell costs.
The classic Dogs strategy involves buy-hold for the year-sell, rinse, repeat. You can cut down on costs because some of this year's Dogs are also next year's.
At very least it makes an interesting screen.
