A very useful system Stephen, thanks.

It can be simplified by dividing the dividend in pence by the percentage yield on the FTSE, adding any premium to the yield.

For Glaxo: 68p/3.63% = 1873p selling price.

For Aviva: 26p/4.63% = 562p " "

I hope Aviva achieves this in 2012: I bought some at 370p partly because you are so keen on them!
