Can anyone explain to me why bonuses should be paid atall. Aren't Directors supposed to run their companies as profitably as possible. That's what they are paid a salary to do. Bonuses can only be justified by exceptional results. Otherwise losses through bad management should result in a clawback of remuneration. Why should only shareholders pay for failure?
