Professor Allyson Pollack wrote a scathing attack on PFI in the Christmas British Medical Journal "The private finance initiative: the gift that goes on taking." I think it may be free to the public as I was oble to view it without logging in. http://www.bmj.com/content/341/bmj.c7175.full
It starts off referring to a previous BMJ editor's assessment of PFI in 1999 as "perfidious financial idiocy" and goes on with references and evidence to back this up.
It left me wondering where I could invest for such a good stable dividend return.
