Ha, it's all about purchase price and timescales, I'm still up (quickly checks) 6.78% on original cost and have received another 8.5% of the original price back through dividends.

That was indeed a misleading pronunciation of Down 14%. Glad to say my prefs are unaffected.

Why just read across to Aviva, and not Direct Line, which suffered a similar fall to Aviva?
