The Best TV Satire Ever

I watched a recording of the Palin/Biden TV debate on Saturday afternoon, and then today I watched the 'Saturday Night Live' spoof of that debate.

It's brilliant. I don't think I've ever seen better political satire on the TV. It beats 'Yes Minister', 'Spitting Image', 'The Thick of It', Rory Bremner and anything else I can think of.

Watch it!

The Safest Places To Deposit Your Money

As the financial turmoil continues, where are the safest places to put your money?

About me

On leaving university, my original plan was to be a lawyer, but my legal career was cut short by ill health. Whilst convalescing, I got interested in finance and then discovered The Fool. My writing career began at Citywire in 2000, followed by a stint at breakingviews, and then I came ‘home' to The Fool as an Investment Writer in 2005.

Away from work, my interests include politics, theatre, cinema, and radio. I'm also a big fan of The Beach Boys and Paul McCartney. I can bore on about them for hours.

My role

I'm the Editor here. That means I'm responsible for all the articles on the site. When I get time I write the odd piece - normally on investment or economic issues. And I take part in podcasts too, which I love. Even better, when David Kuo is away, I get to present!
