ProShares Ultra QQQ fund seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses that correspond to twice the daily performance of the NASDAQ-100 Index by investing in equity securities and financial instruments which show the above characteristics. The fund employs leveraged investment techniques and sampling techniques in seeking its investment objective. It also invests in debt securities and money market instruments. ProShares Ultra QQQ has total net assets of $ 223.20 million as on February 2007. Information Technology, Cyclical Services and Non-cyclical consumer goods accounts for over 82% of the allocation with IT accounting for 50%. Close to 12% of the total corpus is invested in Microsoft and Apple.

The NASDAQ-100 Index includes 100 of the largest domestic and international non-financial securities listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market based on market capitalization. The Index reflects companies across major industry groups including computer hardware and software, telecommunications, retail/wholesale trade and biotechnology. It does not contain securities of financial companies including investment companies. As the performance of this fund depends on the performance of the NASDAQ-100 it will be essential to know what are the future prospects of NASDAQ-100 which in turn depends on the overall economic condition in the U.S.

The housing sector which was the main cause of the down turn in the economic growth in the U.S. is expected to ease off in the second quarter, and it is projected that this will have positive contributions to GDP growth from Residential Fixed Investment during the second half of the 2007. Moreover the NASDAQ-100 is currently concentrated in the technology sector, which is expected to grow slowly, but steadily, this year, driven by expanding overseas sales. The U.S. economy is projected to grow at a moderate rate and the foreign markets are looking healthy which is expected to have a positive impact on the NASDAQ-100. Backing on this fact it can be said that the index will be heading northwards in the coming future. As the Ultra QQQ invests in instruments that have similar daily price return characteristics as the index it is also expected to outperform.

Leveraged index fund that tracks to double QQQ performance - can't go wrong in an up year - but look out in a down year.

Stay away for now. You'll just get whipsawed. I'll look to short this around $106 with a tight 2% stop. Target - 10% gain.

The market is oversold in the short-term so I'm looking to get a nice pop out of the QLD (2X QQQQ) over the next 10 trading days. Today's 400 point swing in the Dow seems like it could be a temporary bottom for the Quarter. -JC

This QQQ basrd ETF is at a low-point, a perfect time to buy as it rockets upward in the next few weeks.

I don't believe this is a case of catch a falling knife. I think it could easily go down more but not compared to the upside.
