This company makes quality products that are currently in top demand. Now that they are Windows capable their iMac and MacBook offerings are more desirable than ever, plus their iLife and iWork offerings pretty much cover 90% of the needs of the average home computer owner without all the headaches and security problems the Windows platform brings with it. Greater acceptance of the Mac products hand in hand with continued dominance of the iPod will drive Apple computers for the next 5 years.

Apple inc., a thriving company establised by Steve Jobs, has almost always outperformed the S&P 500. I think that, with Apple products' populaity right now, and all of thier new releases, that they will definitely outperform The S&P 500 within a couple of months.

Apple TV is going to work. (Roku has sat on its hands for too long. I own one, but it's so damn clunky)
This is the beginning of a trend where Apple could easily become a major player in the burgeoning streaming entertainment industry (to compete with Amazon and Netflix).

People will make a big deal about Apple losing some market share with its mobile devices in the coming years but that's inevitable with cheaper and inferior products coming to market. However Apple will continue to command significant market share and a wealthy and devoted demographic. Apple will capitalize more on the customers it has.

Ipad mini looks promising.

Macbook Air is the best laptop out there. No moving parts. The Hitachi hard drive was always the most fragile component of Apple laptops. This is a great product.

Small and medium businesses (and recently more major corporations like Yahoo) are switching over to Iphones and Macbooks from PC-based computers and Blackberry's.

Apple is getting a reputation for the highest security standards of all phones including Blackberry. In 2008, the Obama administration were famously using Blackberrys. This year i wouldn't be surprised if it's the Iphone 5.

Iwallet is going to work. People will hand over their credit card numbers in droves. Who wants to be the sucker waiting in line when you can be the cool dude that leaves with a swipe of your phone and a smoothie?

When Apple gets those credit card numbers, look out Amazon, Netflix, and Google.

Apple will see more earnings from its other services such as downloads (apps, music, movies, etc...) credit card-like transactions, software updates, etc...

Still long on apple...

Apple has all burners going across product lines. It's everybody's favorite, even Microsoft users. With Jobs back and with change in accounting rules going into place, stock is on fire and will continue to burn as PE gets lower.

XMAS season will see stock eclipse $200 and move 20% higher next year (2010).

Apple's got the right ingredients (Steve Jobs, industrial design) to continually innovate and enter new markets. Just about every tech savvy friend I know wants an Intel Mac, so I expect their computer market share to grow. You can now have one machine that runs Mac OS, Windows, Unix, and more. It's also being priced more and more competitively with PCs. 2007 should also see the release of products that connect multimedia content with the living room, and communications devices. Although there are competitors, I think Apple has what it takes to emerge as a leader.

Love them or hate them AAPL is a winner. They dominate the portable music industry with over 70% belonging to i-pod lovers. Their computer business is growing in what is considered a shrinking market. How? By taking market share! I think there is another market they entered that they are doing okay in, yea right. The i-phone will dominate the phone industry. Forget it has an i-pod attached to it, the i-phone is definitly the most consumer friendly phone/pda/camera and whatever else it is ,that has hit the market. When they become unleashed from AT&T the sky is the limit. Being "cool" does not hurt either.

Do you think iPod was a success? You ain't seen nothing yet. Apple is emerging as one of the major giants of the digital age. I wouldnt be surprise is it eventually merges with Disney ( Jobs is DIS's biggest shareholder) to become a bigger force than Sony. Apple was written off in the PC business, but it has the highest margins, best computers and now Windows diehards are switching in droves thanks to an Intel chip and superior OS. Now they are selling movies and have dipped their toes into video games. I actually bot the stock much cheaper than it is selling for today.

Everyone thought the exact same things about Microsoft in the early 2000's as they do about Apple today. Current P/E trends cannot continue forever. It's easy to hop on the Apple bandwagon and say that it's going to be an easy outperform. Apple's products must continue to change as fast as the current fads do. Apple products offer nothing more than other brands and in many cases offer less. However because of brand loyalty, this company continues to do well. We'll see if what happened to RIMM happens to AAPL.
